Who is responsible

What data we collect
Booking data: name, email, phone, country, pickup address and any notes you give us.
Payment data: card payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
Usage data: IP address, device, browser and pages viewed, via cookies and measurement tools (Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager).
Why we use it & legal basis
To manage your booking and communicate with you (performance of a contract).
To measure and improve the site with statistics (your consent for non-essential cookies).
For marketing and advertising, including the advertising audiences described below (your consent).
Advertising audiences (important)
With your consent, we may share your email address — in a hashed (pseudonymised) form — with advertising platforms such as Google and Meta. They use it to show you relevant ads and to build "similar" or "lookalike" audiences: people with interests like yours. You can withdraw this consent at any time from the cookie banner or by emailing us at info@czechhikes.com.
Cookies & measurement
We use necessary cookies (to make the site work), analytics cookies (GA4 via Google Tag Manager) and advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta). Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which we ask for in the cookie banner when you arrive. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the banner.
Who we share data with
Stripe (payments), Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta (advertising), and our hosting and email providers. They only receive what they need to provide their service.
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (e.g. Google, Meta, Stripe) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, appropriate safeguards apply (EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).
How long we keep it
Booking data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations (e.g. accounting). Measurement and marketing data for the retention period of each tool or until you withdraw consent.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing info@czechhikes.com. You can also complain to the Czech supervisory authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz).
